Roth Guitar Duo

Classical guitarists have always proved popular at our concerts, and this year we are delighted to welcome not one, but two to perform for us. The Roth Guitar Duo met whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, and have played at venues and festivals throughout the UK. Sam and Emma strive to create varied programmes of interest to any music lover, ranging from Renaissance to newly commissioned and unpublished works, and their popularity has attracted new compositions from prominent composers including Yvonne Bloor and Mark Houghton. The duo has recently released their first album “Canonica” which contains music from today’s programme as well as other works from their repertoire.
